1. Who we are
This website is operated by the Black Point group of companies. Depending on how you engage with us, the entity that acts as a controller of your personal data may include: Black Point DEV s.r.o. (Czechia), BLACK POINT DIGITAL POLAND SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ (Poland), and Black Point Software s.r.o. (Czechia). Registry and address details for each entity are available on our Contact page.
2. Scope
This policy describes how we handle information in connection with the public marketing website at blackpoint.digital (the "Site"). It does not replace any separate agreement you may have for paid services, employment, or a specific project.
3. Data we may collect
We may process the following categories of data:
- Contact and inquiries. When you email us or use forms on the Site, we process the content of your message and your contact details so we can respond.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe via our subscribe flow, we collect your email address to send updates you have requested. Subscription requests are processed through our email marketing provider (currently Brevo) on our instructions.
- Scheduling. When you book a call through embedded scheduling (e.g. Cal.com), the scheduling provider processes data you submit there under its own terms and privacy notice. We receive the information needed to hold the meeting.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure may automatically log limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) for security and reliability.
4. Purposes and legal bases (EEA/UK framing)
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on appropriate bases such as:
- Performance of a contract or steps prior to a contract, when you ask us to engage commercially;
- Our legitimate interests in operating the Site, responding to inquiries, and securing our systems, balanced against your rights;
- Consent, where required (for example, for certain cookies or marketing where we ask for it).
5. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies only as needed for the Site to function, to remember preferences, or where we deploy third-party widgets (such as scheduling). You can control cookies through your browser settings. If we add non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain consent.
6. Recipients and international transfers
We use trusted service providers (hosting, email, CRM, scheduling, email marketing) that may process data on our behalf. Some providers may be located outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses) where needed.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or we delete inactive lists according to our retention rules.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@blackpoint.digital.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
